Abstract:

This dataset contains shapefiles characterizing the major spatial components of the Oysterflows projects. The files included are listed below with descriptions. 1. Modeled_Salinity_Points.shp: contains points where salinity was predicted under future conditions using a statistical model and the input datasets 2. WaterFALL_Watersheds_Oysterflows.shp: contains delineated watersheds for all major freshwater rivers and streams entering the modeled estuaries. 3. WaterFALL_Streamlines_Oysterflows: contains NHD streamlines for all major freshwater rivers and streams entering the modeled estuaries.

Purpose:

This dataset contains shapefiles characterizing the major spatial components of the Oysterflows projects.

Data Parameters and Units:

Coordinates are provided as latitude-longitude in decimal degrees

Methods:

Watersheds and streamlines were developed by aggregating National Hydrography Dataset catchments and streamlines. Salinity gage locations were provided by respective monitoring and reporting agencies (USGS, Louisiana Coastwide Reference Monitoring System, and the Texas Water Development Board).
