Abstract:

This is a model written in the R statistical language for developing predictions of salinity under future climate conditions. Salinity is predicted as a function of water level, air temperature, wind speed, freshwater inflow to estuary, and watershed precipitation. The model is developed to use the dataset "Model Input Data -- Baseline Scenario" for training the statistical relationships and the dataset "Model Input Data -- Future Scenario" for predicting future ranges. Output is summarized in a series of graphics generated by the script. The script and input data are currently configured to run for salinity observation sites included in the dataset "Oysterflows Spatial Data".
